Deeptech Labs wins hottest Accelerator award at the Europas 2022

As Europe’s only deeptech accelerator, we were delighted to win hottest Accelerator at this year’s Europas 2022 Technology Startup Awards in Lisbon last week.

The Europas was launched 14 years ago by TechCrunch editor-at-large Mike Butcher and is credited with spotting Spotify, Transferwise, Soundcloud, Darktrace and many other leading lights of the European technology space before they became ‘big’.

Our category included some of the most innovative and exciting accelerator programmes across Europe, but we impressed the Europas judges by demonstrating how we’ve catalysed more than 20 early-stage deeptech start-ups in the two years since we launched including rising stars such as Salience Labs, Condense, Mindtech, NestWave and CircuitMind.

Miles Kirby, CEO of Deeptech Labs commented: “To be recognised in this category amongst so many innovative accelerators is a testament to our talented team and the unwavering support from our partners Arm, University of Cambridge, Cambridge Innovation Capital, Martlet, Ewan Kirk and our community of deeptech investors and advisors.”

“Deeptech Labs continues to win recognition for our unique methodology, deeptech domain expertise and our ambition to accelerate the European deeptech industry. The team and I are continually innovating our model to help early-stage deeptech founders stay ahead in an increasingly competitive landscape while also solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges.”

Due to the current Autumn programme being in full swing, the Deeptech Labs team was not able to attend the in-person award ceremony in Lisbon. However, Deeptech Labs alumni Nick Fellingham, CEO at Condense Reality, was there to accept the award on our behalf. Condense also won their category and took home the award for the hotly-contested Best Web3 Start-up award.
The Europas award win sets-up what is going to be a busy end to the year as we prepare to announce our Autumn 2022 cohort ahead of our investor demo day on December 7th. To register your interest in Demo Day, visit https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/370566994857 or contact Deeptech Labs if you would like to attend in person at the end.
